Biden grants amnesty to more than half a million undocumented immigrants
Today Joe Biden doubled down on policies that are hurting Americans by signing an executive order to give amnesty to over half a million illegal immigrants living in the United States. This action will shield approximately 530,000 adults, plus their children, from deportation.
“The Department of Homeland Security estimates that approximately 500,000 undocumented spouses and 50,000 children under the age of 21 – the stepchildren of US citizens – could potentially benefit. According to the administration, those eligible for this process have resided in the US for an average of 23 years.”
In our poll earlier this month, 57% of respondents said that immigration is their top concern in the 2024 election.
Representative Ken Calvert from California’s 41st CD said: “Massive expansions of amnesty for illegal immigrants will only make our border crisis worse and encourage more people around the world to ignore our immigration laws. The Biden amnesty decision is a slap in the face of people who came to America by following the law.”
Jerrod Sessler, candidate for US Congress in Washington’s 4th CD stated:
“It is nothing short of astonishing to read an official statement for the White House of these United States on this day June 18th, 2024, that is so full of lies and deception that it is difficult to find even a sliver of truth.
Because of the underhanded success the Obama administration had by signing an unconstitutional order (DACA) to freely give citizenship to millions, the Biden administration is using that same model to freely give citizenship to millions more undocumented and potentially dangerous invaders. These actions dilute the value of legitimate citizenship and cost the American taxpayers untold billions of dollars each month.”
There is no doubt that this executive order will only serve to encourage more people to enter our country illegally.
This executive action is expected to be announced at an upcoming White House event celebrating the 12th anniversary of DACA, which was June 15th.
