WA Week 6: Calls to action 2.0
Happy Monday!
We’ve added 6 more bills (one missed the graphic) to our Washington state calls to action for the week ahead. These bills all have a committee hearing this week (14, 15 or 16th) and just need you to do the 30-second-sign-in. The whole list will take less than 5 minutes.
TAKE ACTION & SHARE!
SB 5427: Tattletale Hotline - Hate Crimes & bias incident data gathering by Attorney General’s office
Sign in CON before 9:30AM on 2/16
SB 5241: “Keep our care act”: restrictions, oversight for health care, protecting abortion, “gender affirming care” and assisted suicide. This bill gives oversight and control to the Attorney General. This will harm rural and religious health care facilities most, denying care to many Washington citizens.
Sign in CON before 7AM on 2/14
HB 1932: Shifting general elections for local governments to even-numbered years to increase voter participation.
Sign in CON before 7AM on 2/16
HB 1541: “Nothing about us without us” - DEI for legislative task force, work groups, etc
Sign in CON before 7AM on 2/16
HB 1272: micromanages what can and can’t be said by regular citizens in state and local voters pamphlets"
Sign in CON before 7AM on 2/16
SB 6264: Supporting the implementation of competency-based education. Based on SEL and DEI frameworks.
Sign in CON before 9:30 on 2/14
