The "Education Industrial Complex" is a powerful and heavily funded political machine. In Washington, several groups and political players have taken note of Conservative Ladies of Washington's success in activating citizens to participate in the legislative process. They want to push us down and we are ready to get even louder!
We became aware of this email sent recently by the Washington Association of School Administrators, that it shares with its members and its coalition of other Political Action Committees (PAC). Apparently, the Chair of the Senate Education Committee, Lisa Wellman, has set a goal of 1,000 “pro” sign ins on each education bill in an attempt to drown out the citizen voice rallied by Conservative Ladies of WA.
We’re not one to back down from a challenge, so we say: GAME ON!
Citizens have a right to their voice and a right to demand the government provide academic education for the students of Washington. They are failing to do that! There are no bills this session to address the failures in public schools, only more indoctrination, more mandates over local school boards and more healthcare in schools that keeps secrets from parents.
Time to get loud! If you haven’t done so already (this was in our Week 3 list, so if you did that, you’re good!) sign in CON on each of the bills below.
